1. Introduction
The ORCADEA ERP Analyser is a specialised diagnostic tool developed by Westernsystems to evaluate the network performance and connectivity of ERP systems (primarily Odoo-based) hosted under the ORCADEA ecosystem.
This application helps administrators and users identify potential network bottlenecks, latency issues, and NAT configurations that might affect the performance of their ERP environment.
2. How to Use the App
2.1 Connecting to a System
- System Name: Enter the subdomain of your ORCADEA system (e.g., if your URL is
mycompany.orcadea.com.au, entermycompany). - Domain Selection: Choose the appropriate domain from the dropdown list (e.g.,
.orcadea.com.au,.syd1.orcadea.com). - Custom URL: If your system is hosted on a different domain, toggle the “Custom URL” switch and enter the full hostname (e.g.,
erp.example.com).
2.2 Advanced Speed Tests
To perform comprehensive upload and download speed tests, you must:
- Enable the “Enable Speed Test” toggle.
- Provide a valid 128-character Licence Key. These keys are provided by Westernsystems for authorised diagnostic sessions.
Obtaining a Licence: Users can request a free diagnostic licence key by contacting Westernsystems support. These licences are implemented solely to prevent the misuse of network resources and ensure that high-bandwidth tests are conducted in a controlled, professional manner.
2.3 Running Diagnostics
Tap “Start Diagnostic” to begin the automated testing suite. The app performs a comprehensive range of professional checks:
- DNS Resolution & Comparison: Verifies if the system domain is correctly resolving and compares performance with public DNS providers (Google/Cloudflare).
- Latency (Ping) & Tail Latency (P95/P99): Measures the round-trip time to the server over both IPv4 and IPv6. It identifies “stuttering” connections by tracking the 95th and 99th percentile of latency.
- Jitter & Packet Loss: Measures the variation in latency and data reliability, critical for real-time ERP features.
- HTTP Timing Breakdown (TTFB): Deconstructs the connection process into DNS Lookup, TCP Connect, TLS Handshake, and Time to First Byte (TTFB). TTFB is a key indicator of server responsiveness and processing speed.
- TCP/UDP Connectivity: Checks if the necessary ports for ERP communication are open.
- Path MTU Discovery (PMTUD): Detects the Maximum Transmission Unit across the network path to prevent packet fragmentation and “black hole” connections.
- Protocol & Infrastructure: Identifies HTTP versions (including HTTP/3 QUIC) and edge node information (like Cloudflare nodes) to verify routing efficiency.
- NAT Type Detection: Identifies your local network’s NAT configuration (e.g., Full Cone, Symmetric NAT) which can impact Peer-to-Peer and WebRTC connections.
- Speed Test & Bufferbloat: (If enabled) Measures bandwidth and “Loaded Latency.” It identifies Bufferbloat (latency spikes under load), which causes the ERP interface to become unresponsive during large data transfers.
2.4 Interpreting Results
Results are displayed with visual indicators:
- ✅ Success/Good: Performance is within optimal parameters.
- ⚠️ Warning/Average: Performance may be degraded; check local network conditions.
- ❌ Critical/Failed: Connectivity issues detected that will significantly impact ERP usage.
3. Legality and Licensing
3.1 Licence Agreement
The ORCADEA ERP Analyser is licensed under a Proprietary Software Licence.

All rights reserved. This software and associated documentation are proprietary to Westernsystems. Unauthorised copying, modification, distribution, or use of this software, via any medium, is strictly prohibited.
This software is provided for authorised diagnostic purposes only. Usage requires a valid licence key issued by Westernsystems.
3.2 Data Privacy & Security
- No Persistent Installation: The ORCADEA ERP Analyser is a standalone diagnostic utility. It does not install any background services, persistent components, or third-party software on the client system.
- No Data Misappropriation: This application is strictly prohibited from accessing, “stealing”, or transmitting personal files, browser history, or ERP database contents.
- Network Diagnostics: The app collects technical network metadata (IP addresses, latency, routing info) solely for diagnostic purposes. Its primary function is to analyse the network from the client’s point of view to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Anonymity: No personal user data or ERP database content is accessed or transmitted by this tool.
- Automatic Upload: To facilitate support and professional analysis, an exact copy of the PDF summary generated for the user is automatically uploaded to the ORCADEA infrastructure upon completion of the tests.
- Retention: This report is stored only temporarily for the duration of the troubleshooting process and is automatically destroyed once the analysis is complete and the customer issue is resolved.
- Report Content: The report includes:
- Target System Configuration.
- Network performance metrics (latency, speed, etc.).
- Public IP and NAT configuration.
- System hardware overview (OS, RAM, CPU).
- Data Security & Sovereignty:
- Uploaded reports are transmitted over encrypted channels (HTTPS) and are used exclusively by Westernsystems technicians to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Data Residency: All diagnostic reports are stored on infrastructure located within Australia.
- Sovereignty & Access: We respect Australian data sovereignty. Access to these reports is strictly limited to Australian-based technicians.
- Third-party Sharing: Diagnostic data is not shared with any third party, unless it becomes necessary to engage in conversation with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or other infrastructure providers to resolve specific customer issues.
